The Experience

Beyond the Cities: The Austrian Alps & Dolomites

This road trip brought together some of Central Europe’s most captivating cities, alpine landscapes and driving roads, creating an experience that was as diverse as it was memorable.

Beginning in Budapest and continuing into the heart of the Czech Republic, we explored the architectural beauty and rich history of Prague before discovering the timeless charm of Cesky Krumlov, one of Europe’s most picturesque medieval towns.

Crossing into Austria, the journey transitioned from historic cities to breathtaking mountain scenery. Hallstatt offered postcard-perfect lakeside views, while the Zillertal Valley showcased the beauty of the Austrian Alps at their finest.

A highlight of the journey was driving the legendary Grossglockner High Alpine Road, widely regarded as one of Europe’s greatest driving experiences, with spectacular mountain vistas around every bend.

The final leg of the trip led into the Italian Dolomites, where dramatic peaks, sweeping valleys and world-class mountain roads created an unforgettable setting. The Great Dolomite Road, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Sella Pass and Pordoi Pass each revealed a different perspective of this remarkable region, making every drive as rewarding as the destination itself.

Combining historic cities, alpine culture and some of Europe’s finest roads, this journey offered a complete and immersive road-travel experience.
